Week 6 & 7
Feedback from the previous week – 19.05.22
Studio Work
Selections of paper (weight, texture), biding, etc. are important factors.
Methods of printing (crisp typography, etc.).
How I display the work. One over the other, one next to the other, etc.?
How the work is packed together?
Showcase – Vitrine (with glass top or not), or table?
Reader experience – How do people come into contrast with this?
Writing
Use of references – Up to me. If it’s necessary!

Feedback for the Introduction (writing)
The title I gave to the project is interesting. The half first is poetic in contrast to the word diagram which is more concrete. Think about the tone I want to create!
There is a lot of detail in my introduction. Do I need this? Why? (e.g. writing the specific size of the book, purpose behind it?)
It’s good to explain the rationale. Aims, interests.
Writing as a medium. Language, voice, feel.
Some things/aspects are obvious and there is no need to be included and explained in the text. It is like losing the magic of open interpretation.
The use of reference works well here.
The way I am dividing the text visualises a stack of books. Collecting information and packing different pieces together (as in my artist’s book). Form follows function.
Feedback – 30/05/22 (1:1 with Andrew, F201)
The documentation (photos) look really nice.
I can use each format (writing, pdf, posters) to communicate something different (maybe). Take advantage of each form!
PDF Documentation
It’s nice that I am using graphic elements (diagrammatic), to show, highlight information, etc. I can embrace that more!
Showcase
Physical versus Digital. The simplified version of my work. Use it to communicate my work efficiently!
Photographs, videos, and links to document the publications and share the experience, as better as I can.
Poster / Billboard
It is better to go with the full-screen option (photo taking the whole poster, no white space/background).
Will the poster communicate something else? I can use existing diagrams, modify them, etc.
