Week 3
Feedback from the previous tutorial – 28/04/22
Making and Curating at the same time
Different points of view (different smaller projects), that altogether collapse. Having in mind how all these can work altogether as a bigger idea. This creates a narrative on its own.
According to the experiment Recording my negative and positive thoughts for two weeks, it will be nice to see how holes are overlapping (page on top of the page).
+
Circle (shape)
– I can use the holes to create a narrative, without having instructions, etc.
– I can use existing scientific diagrams, change captions, make a story, etc.

Choices for the Artist’s Book I want to create:
1. Archival Box A4
2. Transparent Folio/ Ziploc bag
3. Stack of publications (rubber band)

Contents:
– Α3 Poster (Unit 3)
– Random story booklet (Unit 3)
– Pack of cards – Brain Transformation (Unit 3)
– A4 paper with diagrams – No content, open for interpretation (Unit 2)
– Few postcards (Unit 3)
– Concertina one-page-book – Recording of thoughts (Unit 3)
– Booklet/Zine – Brain Anatomy – Existing diagrams, new stories (Unit 3)

Recording my negative and positive thoughts for two weeks.
Reference
Dear Data – Giorgia Lupi and Stefanie Posavec

Concertina Book (one-page book)
Each square = One day

Circles will be holes (cut-outs) on white paper.

Another idea (I will probably not use this)
Brain Anatomy (booklet/zine)
Using existing diagrams – Changing the captions – Making new stories

or
Flip Book
Use these existing diagrams without any text, leaving the interpretation up to the reader.
Pages will be cut into three sections, the reader can play with the pages and make combinations. Small images at down right side of the booklet can be used as a flip book.
